Full Diagnostic Services
A fault code is a starting point, not a diagnosis. We test before we replace, on everything from a medium-duty box truck to a loaded Class 8 tractor.
Mechanical & Driveline
The difference between scanning and diagnosing
Any parts counter can read a code. Diagnosis is what happens next: live data review, wiring and connector inspection, pin-level circuit tests and component bench checks that separate the failed part from the symptom it caused. That discipline is what prevents the most expensive phrase in truck repair: we replaced it but the lamp came back.
We invest in the diagnostic equipment and manufacturer repair information to work across the engine makes that move freight here: Cummins, Detroit Diesel, Caterpillar, Paccar, International and Volvo, plus the Allison automatics behind many of them.

Drivability, emissions and electronics
Hard starts, stalls, misfires, poor fuel economy, derates, transmission shift complaints and emissions faults all land on the same bench. We give you the finding in plain language, what it costs to fix, and what happens if you wait, so you decide with real information.

Questions we hear
Straight answers
Why do you charge for diagnosis when parts stores read codes free?
The free scan tells you which system complained. The paid hour tells you which component failed, proven by testing. One replaces parts on hope, the other fixes the vehicle.
Do you diagnose engine makes across different truck brands?
Yes. Independent means we are not limited to one badge: Cummins, Detroit, Cat, Paccar, International and Volvo power all come through our bays, in whatever chassis they are bolted into.
My check engine light is on but it runs fine. Urgent?
Sometimes. A steady lamp with no power loss can usually wait for a scheduled bay; a lamp paired with a derate, a stop-engine warning or rising temperatures should not be driven on. Call us and describe it and we will tell you which you have.
